CAVALIERE PIÙ windows combine PVC performance to aluminium performance, by adding benefits of both.
They are quality windows, characterized by an external aluminium cladding, resistant to severe weather conditions, and also they don’t need a great maintenance. PVC guarantees sound and heat insulation, by maintaining in houses an ideal climate and by guaranteeing comfort protected by external noises, that cause stress. To the wide range of PVC colours, there are also that of aluminium for different chromatic solutions.
The diagram expresses temperatures from outside to inside by underlining difference (15° approximately) both during summer and winter time. The example is referred to cold season, in this case window’s insulation guarantees a great energetic conservation and conserving costs.

EXTERNAL ALUMINIUM CLADDING – Uf=1.3
The external aluminium cladding offers a wide range of colours and finishing. For this reason this line is suitable for building restructuring.

STATICS
Profiles selection and connection elements with reinforcement, that characterized windows, will be calculated in order to guarantee absorption of efforts derived from external factors (wind, mechanic actions, etc) internal (weight) and unloading of bearing structures that window is installed (Regulation: DIN 1055, part 4; DIN 1055 sheet 3; DIN 18056). Window doors must be calculated according to DIN 18056 regulation. Maximum arrow of bearing elements, in particular window-posts and transverses must not be more than 1/300 of length profile. For glasses the use of insulating double-glazing maximum arrow is 8 mm.
TRANSVERSES AND FIXED WINDOW-POSTS
During transverses and window-posts application must be used an anti-torsion system documented, in order to avoid profile’s rotation under glass weight.
INTERNAL REINFORCEMENT
Internal reinforcement would be realized thickness minimum 15/10 with form and length compatible with internal section reinforcement chamber of PVC profile. Profile reinforcements must be zinc-coated steel, in order to avoid corrosion. For internal reinforcement, the zinc-coated stratum must be about 100 g/sq.m.; for external reinforcement zinc-coated stratum must be 275 g/sq.m. Externally reinforcement must be zinced also cut sections. Reinforcements, plats or steel profiles used as anchorage thickness 4mm must be zinc-coated. Possible weld beads would be preserved from corrosion with zinc spray without heating (DIN 18360). These reinforcements would be secure to PVC profile with zinc-coated screws from a 50 mm distance from internal angle of door/frame and with a frequency not superior to 500 mm (white profile) and 250 mm (covered profiles). Forms and particular height would be reinforced by satisfying CNR regulation that imposes maximum arrow acceptable not superior to 1/500 of length this for avoiding glass slabs, water and air infiltration.
DRAINAGE
Drainage and slots must be made in conformity to technical directive work of profile’s constructor used for window’s realization. Frame drainage must be made toward outside of window through a different chamber from that has profile’s reinforcement. Outside, slots must be protected from wind, direct action through suitable caps.
GLASS STOP
Glass stops, 45° cut angle, will have square or shaped form, according to architectural requests of D.L.L. and will have a gasket. Glass stop’s thickness will be chosen on the basis of glass thickness and glass gasket. It’s necessary to avoid to create dimensional differences between glass stops placed on fixed and mobile doors, and it’s not accepted application of heights between profile and glass stop.
GASKETS
Holding system to atmospheric agents would be double gasket. It could be used gasket with principal profiles or insert them subsequently to soldering frame/door. Gaskets, when they are in direct contact with atmospheric agents must be built with suitable materials that are able to maintain unaltered this function for years. They must have a high degree of tolerability with elements that are assembled in conformity to DIN 52452 regulation.
It could be used only gaskets in EPDM, silicone, RAU-PREN or similar. Gasket’s material must obey as that present in RAL GZ 716/1, paragraph II regulations.
ACCESSORIES
Ironmongery and accessories will be: Maico. They would be installed on windows in conformity to DIN 18357 regulation. They would have form and closing efficiency compatible with the same profile. They must satisfy controls established by EN 107 regulation. The EURO groove for ironmongery accommodation would have an ironmongery axe 13 mm for allowing installation of not-break-in accessories.
